A ghost who refuses to fade; a pirate crew that refuses to die; and a secret that has lain at the bottom of the ocean for a century…

My name’s Molly Flynn, and I’ve been just the same for three hundred years. Now, I’ve decided, it’s time for something to change…

For centuries, Molly has drifted unseen and alone—forever twelve years old, with no real place among the living or the dead. But when the legendary pirate-sorcerer Shadowcloak claims her for his crew, she gets more than just the adventure she was looking for—and it’s enough to spook even a ghost.

The ruthless Shadowcloak needs Molly to recover the priceless treasure he buried while he was still breathing. For the first time in her long afterlife, Molly isn’t just watching the world move on without her—she’s right in the thick of things.

As secrets rise from the depths and the truth of Shadowcloak’s haunting past is unearthed, Molly finds both a place to belong and a question she never thought she’d have to face—

What does it mean for a ghost to grow up?

A moment with my sister’s dog, Bella.

My name’s Josh de Lioncourt, and I’m responsible for all this nonsense—and yes, that includes Nana’s bad jokes. (She told them to me, and I wrote them down. Sorry!)

I write the books I want to read that no one else has yet. They’re powered by magic and too much coffee. I hope you’ll want to read them, too.

But why stop at books? If you can create a thing, I’ve probably tried to—not always successfully, mind you. I write music, apps, and even the occasional article for magazines and websites. I enjoy chatting on podcasts, too.

I live in Pennsylvania with my wife—the non-ghostly Molly—and Jade, our golden doodle. I’m a cancer survivor and just happen to be blind.
